Job Description The Director of Credit and Collections position will oversee and manage the Credit team to include training, monitoring staff portfolio of accounts, produce and work with aging reports, minimize bad debt exposure, and identify process improvement opportunities.
This position is responsible for the credit processes to include application procedure, creditworthiness assessment, and periodic reviews for a portfolio of customers.
Primary Responsibilities Oversee the overall Credit and Collections function as an organization, direct staff and activities on income from product sales Collaborate with top management to set operational standards and contribute essential information to strategic plans Drive Credit Automation in partnership with IT and third party software providers Understand complex customer programs and ensure creditworthiness standards are maintained Manage and oversee document retention.
Ensure that tax exemption certificates are valid and maintained within the ERP system Monitor each AR portfolio for non-payment, delayed payments and other irregularities that directly effects cash flow and DSO Maintain and enforce lien rights Determine accounts that should be placed on credit hold Minimize bad debt exposure maintaining the aging at acceptable levels by driving accountability of the team to resolve open items Evaluate credit analysis for new and existing customer accounts according to established guidelines Approve commercial jobs to make sure we are secured Assist in the month end closing process Interact regularly with other internal departments to provide the highest level of customer service Ensure that established SOX compliancy standards are met Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or business management 10
years Credit Management experience preferably within a publicly traded organization Experience building and leading teams Strong experience using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) Construction industry experience is a plus Experience with Esker TermSync Collection system and Esker Credit Management module a plus Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or business management 10

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
