7K a year Business Application Specialist provides technical support for a subset of business systems applications.
They will function as a Subject Matter Expert in each software application that the company utilizes in both technical aspects and user experience.
Provides assistance in one or all areas of application set up and configuration that includes integrations, testing, design, and analysis.
This role assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications.
This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for supported applications, including user manuals, FAQs, best practices and troubleshooting guides.
They may also be responsible for training end-users and IT staff on how to use and support the applications effectively.
Identifying opportunities for improving application performance, usability, and support processes.
This may involve gathering feedback from users, analyzing support ticket trends, and working with internal IT teams to integrate with other platforms.
They will be participating in, or leading projects related to the upgrade, replacement, or deployment of new applications.
This includes planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
Working closely with other IT teams, such as network, security, and database administrators, to ensure applications are integrated and supported within the broader IT infrastructure.
This role requires a combination of deep technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
It's also important for the Business Application Specialist to stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the support and performance of applications.
Responsibilities:
Capacity to understand functionality and business processes of various software tools Evaluate integration options to bridge data between software systems Produce quality documentation to function as a knowledge base of software systems Technical training/coaching end user group on utilizing the system Build sprint/product backlog lists based on priority and value from user feedback Keep up to date with software release notes, version upgrades, features additions, and best practices.
Work with department leadership to identify user needs, provide insights, and best practices.
Design, code, debug, and problem-solve with internal and external members of the team on a wide array of proposed web, desktop, and mobile experiences.
Work with partnered vendors for technical support and on-going training Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in application development and architecture At least 5 years of experience analyzing and visualizing data in context of an application or automated workflow At least 5 years of experience implementing and managing applications and automated workflows At least 5 years of experience configuring and administrating on-premise or Cloud hosted software solutions A 'process oriented' mindset along with great documentation skills Knowledge and technical proficiency in Database Management, Microsoft SQL, Programming and scripting languages (Such as PowerShell or Python), APIs including REST and SOAP, Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) (certifications a plus) Experience configuring and supporting ConnectWise Manage platform strongly preferred Knowledge of managed metadata, content types, workflows, forms, validation, permissions management, site collection administration functionality Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences both technical and non-technica Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners Demonstrated skillset in architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of complex applications Performs other duties as assigned Physical Demands:
