Associate Product Manager - Data Center Cabinets

As a Panduit Associate Product Manager, you will contribute to the maintenance, planning, development, strategy, launching, and growth of our ever-expanding Data Center Cabinet product line. You will collaborate cross-functionally to support the product line, foster relationships with key client accounts, and gain experience across our product lines and within product families. As a Panduit Associate Product Manager based at our Tinley Park, Illinois, World Headquarters building, you will report to a Senior Manager in the Enterprise and Data Center (EDI) Business Unit. You will contemplate future products, envision customer needs, anticipate the components to make the products successful, and propose both why a customer will buy and what price the market will bear. As you develop and present eloquent and well-researched business cases, you will use your strong skills in influence, financial acumen, and market expertise to gain product approval. Then, back to the drawing board for product line extensions, complementary product proposals, and keeping the product engineering team's project pipeline full. As you grow in this role, we'll rely on you to become an internal thought leader who moves new product ideas forward in collaboration with product engineering, sales, and marketing, as well as with stakeholders throughout the organization.
Our ideal Associate Product Manager will have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or in another relevant technical field. An MBA is a plus. This position is designed for the professional with 0 to 3 years of Product Management experience. You will possess strong analytical expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to write and present effective business cases. You will be able to translate technical vision and product ideas into clear concepts that laymen, customers, and upper management will easily understand. Skills in cost analysis, revenue forecasting, and margin growth will round out your capabilities. Knowledge of data center cabinets is a plus. Your Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, will be intermediate or preferably, advanced level.
